Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking a compliance professional to join our Home Lending Compliance team. You will own the licensing program, manage QC reviews on mortgage files, and collaborate with Legal and Operations to ensure regulatory readiness as we expand to new states.

The role requires 5+ years in residential mortgage compliance (QC or licensing) and experience with NMLS. A BA/BS degree is required; willingness to obtain registrations as needed. Benefits include equity and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of direct residential mortgage compliance experience including QC or licensing.
• Experience independently utilizing the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
• BA/BS degree required; willingness to obtain applicable registrations/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-funding and post-closing QC reviews on mortgage files to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Own end-to-end licensing program for state licenses and MLO licenses via the NMLS.
• Drive state expansion by researching guidelines and monitoring regulatory changes.
• Review marketing materials for compliance with TILA (Reg Z) and MAP (Reg N).
• Investigate consumer complaints and assist in compliance training.
• Prepare and submit annual regulatory reporting and support fair lending monitoring.
• Assist in regulatory examinations and audits.
• Draft and modernize SOPs and policies for efficiency.
• Provide training as a compliance escalation point for operations.
