Wealthfront seeks a compliance professional to join the new Home Lending Compliance team in Palo Alto, CA. You will own the licensing program, lead QC reviews, and partner with Legal, Operations, and Compliance to scale a tech-enabled mortgage process.

The role emphasizes hands-on QC, regulatory mastery (RESPA, TILA, MAP, HMDA) and workflow modernization using automation. NMLS experience and a passion for process improvement are valued.

Qualificações

• BA/BS degree.
• 5+ years of direct experience in residential mortgage compliance including QC or licensing.
• Experience independently utilizing the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
• Willingness to obtain applicable registrations and/or licenses as necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct independent pre-funding and post-closing Quality Control (QC) reviews on mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with investor quality standards and regulations.
• Own and manage end-to-end licensing program for state company and branch licenses and MLO licenses through NMLS, including renewals, CE and Pre-Licensing tracking, state reporting, and serving as the primary compliance contact for licensing inquiries.
• Drive state expansion efforts by researching origination guidelines, monitoring regulatory changes, and ensuring readiness as products roll out in new states.
• Review and approve home lending marketing materials to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (TILA Reg Z, MAP Reg N).
• Collaborate with Compliance Operations and Home Lending Operations to investigate consumer complaints and support compliance training.
• Oversee annual regulatory reporting preparation, QA, and submission; support fair lending monitoring related to underwriting and pricing.
• Assist in preparing for/state and federal regulatory examinations and investor audits.
• Draft, maintain, and modernize SOPs and departmental policies to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Provide compliance guidance and lead targeted training for Home Lending Operations.
