A home inspection company is seeking a reliable Home Inspector to conduct detailed inspections and communicate findings to clients in a friendly manner. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Missouri Home Inspector License and be an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. Responsibilities include performing inspections according to standards, documenting findings, and representing the company at real estate events. Known throughout the Mid-South for thorough, honest, and easy-to-understand home inspections, Upchurch Inspection seeks a partner to bring the same high standard of excellence to Columbia, Jefferson City, Sedalia, and the surrounding areas.

Opportunity Overview

As a Home Inspector working with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll conduct comprehensive residential inspections, document your findings clearly, and communicate results to clients in a friendly, professional manner. We value inspectors who are reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to ongoing learning in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards of practice and applicable Missouri guidelines
• Inspect major home systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
• Prepare clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software
• Explain findings to clients in an approachable and educational manner
• Maintain professionalism and uphold Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for honesty and quality
• Keep up to date with building practices, safety standards, and continuing education requirements
• Represent the company professionally at client appointments and local real estate events

Required Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Home Inspector License
• InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Physically capable of accessing attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and tight or elevated areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in home inspections, construction, trades, or real estate
• Experience with inspection software and digital reporting tools
• Customer-service experience and strong client communication skills
