Job summary

HouseMaster Home Inspections is seeking experienced inspectors to join a growing national team. The role requires attention to detail, clear communication, physical stamina, and adherence to building codes while performing thorough inspections and accurate reports.

Candidates should have 5+ years remodeling/construction experience, own a vehicle, and be able to work in varied weather. Training is provided; competitive compensation and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of remodeling construction background or home maintenance repair experience.
• Strong understanding of building codes, laws and government regulations.
• Personal Vehicle + Valid driver's license & car insurance.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Travel to home inspection site and perform inspections.
• Review plans to ensure compliance with codes and local ordinances.
• Inspect plumbing and electrical for potential code violations.
• Keep daily logs, write reports, and take photographs.

Position Summary

A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.

Role And Responsibilities

The inspector is required to have at least a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications. The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary based on experience and qualifications.
