Job summary

Palomacares is seeking an experienced Home Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled infusion therapy to patients in the Midland–Odessa, TX area. The RN will travel to patients' homes delivering safe, high-quality infusion care in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.

Flexible part-time schedule with local travel, competitive pay of $40–$50 per hour, and duties include IV meds, patient education, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Competency in peripheral IV insertion and central-line care.
• Strong patient assessment, documentation, and education skills.
• Ability to work independently in patients' homes.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Smartphone and reliable internet for scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide home infusion therapy, including IV medications, biologics, IVIG, antibiotics, hydration, and other prescribed therapies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after each infusion.
• Initiate and manage peripheral IV access and care for PICC lines, ports, and other vascular access devices.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
• Verify medication, dose, route, frequency, supplies, and orders before treatment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medications and infusion procedures.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the pharmacy, physician, case manager, and clinical team.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation after each visit.
• Maintain infection-control and medication-safety standards in the home environment.
• Track supplies used and report concerns.
• Travel throughout the Midland-Odessa service area for visits.
