Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Full Time Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician for our Elkridge location. You will support dispensing and delivery of sterile medications for home infusion, manage pumps, and ensure safe therapy with rigorous documentation and coordination with pharmacists, nurses, patients and caregivers.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a pharmacy technician program (preferred), MD Pharmacy Technician Registration, and 1–2 years home infusion experience.

Qualifications

• Requires exceptional attention to detail and full compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential for coordinating with pharmacists, nurses, patients and caregivers.
• Maryland Pharmacy Technician Registration required at hire; CPhT certification within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, dispense sterile IV admixtures per physician orders and protocols.
• Package medications accurately and perform final product checks before pharmacist verification.
• Maintain organized files for patient care coordination and ensure accurate documentation of activities.
• Monitor stock levels of medications, pumps and supplies; reorder as needed.
• Ensure proper storage for temperature-sensitive meds and coordinate equipment delivery and setup.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for infusion pumps and educate patients on use and storage.
