Job summary

The Cigna Group's Evernorth Health Services unit seeks a skilled pharmacist in Pennsylvania to ensure safe, cost-effective medication therapy and to educate healthcare practitioners. You will process prescriptions, verify orders, and support drug information for care teams while complying with regulations.

Requirements include a PharmD or BSc in Pharmacy and a Pennsylvania license; hospital pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Pennsylvania pharmacist license.
• 3+ months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate physician medication orders to dispense medications in accordance with state/federal laws.
• Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions.
• Support formulary stewardship and evidence-based therapy decisions.
• Review patient medication records for allergies, interactions and duplications.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff during daily operations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and hospital quality policies.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to clarify orders.
