Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in-store to help customers find products, explain features, and close sales. You will become a product expert, advising customers on specifications, promotions, and financing options to meet their home improvement goals.

You will work in various departments depending on needs, delivering friendly consultations, processing orders, and supporting store operations while providing excellent customer service daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with aid.
• Sales-related licensure/register if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers/vendors within your department and manage orders/installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on outside accounts and external sales.
• Monitor inventory with vendors to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout and store operations.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
