Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Customer Service Associate in the Cedar Rapids area to welcome customers, help them find products, and ensure a smooth shopping experience. You will engage with customers throughout the day and assist in multiple departments based on store needs.

Responsibilities include answering questions, stocking shelves, processing orders, and supporting colleagues across departments. A flexible, customer-first mindset is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation
• 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience (preferred)
• Bi-lingual skills (preferred)
• Certification in department related to hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, etc. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's and deliver friendly, professional customer service
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Stock merchandise by replenishing shelves as needed
• Process orders and deliveries accurately
• Cross-train in other store areas to improve customer service
• Prepare department merchandise according to customer needs (e.g., paint, pipes, wood)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned
