Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets in the Savannah, GA area, with visits to Pooler and neighboring communities. You’ll practice medicine with time and attention to each animal and family, away from the rush of a traditional clinic.

You’ll work independently on the road, supported by mentorship and a team that prioritizes caregiver well-being.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• Weekends on your terms — flexible scheduling to accommodate life events.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• Background check, license verification and driving record review prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets.
• Practice independently during home visits with mentorship and team support.
• Dedicate time to families, answering questions with kindness and empathy.
