Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice in the Charlotte area seeks a compassionate veterinarian to provide end-of-life care at home, sitting with families in their living rooms and guiding them through difficult moments. You’ll work independently on the road, with a focus on dignity and personalized care.

We offer a flexible schedule (2–5 days per week with self-managed options), generous guaranteed compensation, quarterly bonuses, and a supportive onboarding/mentorship program.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, a background check, and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life veterinary care at home.
• Practice medicine on the road with schedule flexibility.
• Support grieving families with dignity and empathy.
