Job summary

Caretenders, part of the LHC Group in the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Therapist for home health in Indiana. Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to speech and language disorders, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to improve and enhance patient well-being.
• Perform interventions to improve patient communication and swallowing abilities.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and progress to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in speech therapy techniques.
