Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Speech Therapist in Home Health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, and to develop a treatment plan in coordination with the care team.

You will perform interventions to improve communication and swallowing, document progress, educate patients and families, and ensure plan-of-care adherence. The role offers a full-time schedule with a comprehensive benefits package and a salary range of $70,992 to $106,488 annually.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy, in accordance with the plan of care.
• Evaluates patient function and assists in development of therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts according to patient condition.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Instructs patient, family and caregivers in speech therapy areas of participation.
