Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice defined by state laws and plan of care.
• Evaluates function using diagnostic and prognostic functional tests.
• Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing according to condition.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to the care team.
• Instructs patient, family and caregivers in speech therapy areas.
