Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Speech Pathologist to serve Lynchburg and surrounding areas in a full-time home health role. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in patients at home.

Responsibilities include aural rehabilitation and AAC implementation, with additional duties as assigned. Licensure, CCC-SLP, and CPR certification are required; CFY track may apply for newer graduates.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state of assignment.
• CCC-SLP certification with graduate coursework and a supervised practicum accredited by CAA.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and implement AAC systems for severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
