Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Christiansburg, VA, is seeking a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide one-on-one therapy in patients’ homes across Christiansburg and surrounding areas.

You will assess, treat, and monitor patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs, developing individualized plans and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve daily life. Flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active SLP license in Virginia.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of speech therapy experience (home health preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based speech therapy to patients experiencing communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Observe and evaluate a patient’s ability to communicate, swallow, and process information.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Assist patients with mouth, breathing, swallowing, fluency, articulation, and reading exercises.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safety practices, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT, and OT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.

Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN (Flexible Scheduling Available)

Pay: $45-$100 per visit depending on visit type + mileage reimbursement

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP to provide personalized, one-on-one therapy in a home setting throughout Christiansburg and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working independently while helping patients improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function within their daily environment.

As a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP, you will work directly with patients recovering from illness or injury while developing individualized treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
