Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Patient/Staff Service Coordinator to manage the staff schedule for home health, home care, and hospice services using the EMR system. You will route and assign field staff to minimize travel, adjust plans as patient needs change, and ensure accurate scheduling and billing codes.

The role requires strong multitasking abilities, solid communication with patients, caregivers, and case managers, and experience with EMR and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education preferred in a related field.
• Two years experience in staff scheduling.
• One year experience in home health, hospice, or medical office management preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet.
• EMR systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the EMR system to build staff schedules according to physicians’ orders and supervisors’ direction.
• Routes and assigns field staff across geographic zones to minimize drive time and maximize productivity.
• Communicates scheduling changes to staff and supervisors; maintains patient and staff records.
• Performs regular audits of scheduled visits and reports data entry accuracy.
• Attends case conferences and assists with reauthorizations as needed.
