Job summary

Inspired Home Care in Washington, DC is seeking a Home Health Nurse for PRN and Part-Time shifts. You will manage your own caseload, perform patient assessments, vital signs, wound care, IV therapy and coordinate with therapists and physicians to support care at home.

The ideal candidate has a State RN license, 1 year in-home care experience, excellent communication and time management, and a compassionate demeanor.

Qualifications

• State RN license required.
• 1 year of experience in in-home care.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to travel to multiple patients per day.
• Preferred knowledge of WellSky Kinnser.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition during every visit and chart observations.
• Perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review, Oasis assessment, wound care and IV therapy.
• Dress or re-dress open wounds and assess healing progress.
• Educate patients and families on home health care strategies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists, Physicians and others involved in care plan.
• Make recommendations for devices or tools to improve quality of life.
• Listen to patient concerns or requests.

Inspired Home Care is a 5-Star Agency ACHC accredited rapidly expanding and we are hiring PRN and Part Time effective immediately. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, so time management skills and the ability to work independently are essential. However, it is important to provide each patient with the time and attention necessary to meet his or her needs.
