Job summary

Inspired HomeCare is hiring a Home Health Nurse (PRN/Part Time) to manage a personal caseload in Illinois. You will assess patients, perform clinical tasks, and coordinate with the broader care team during visits. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

RN license and 1 year in-home care are required. Travel to multiple patients per day is expected, and knowledge of WellSky/Kinnser is preferred. Salary is paid per visit and compensation varies with patient load.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition during each visit and document observations.
• Perform evaluation tasks including vital signs, medication review, Oasis assessment, wound care and IV therapy.
• Dress or re-dress open wounds and monitor healing progress.
• Educate patients and families on home health care strategies and procedures.
• Coordinate with therapists, physicians and other care team members.

Home Health Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition during every visit and chart your observations
• Perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review, Oasis assessment, wound care and IV therapy
• Dress or re-dress open wounds and assess the progress of healing
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
• Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physicians and anyone else involved in the patient's care plan
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
• Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests

Qualifications

• State RN license required
• 1 year of experience in in-home care

Salary: $110 per visit
