Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assist in the treatment and management of patients with clinical needs. Hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; salary range $45.00–$53.00 per hour, with compensation varying by experience and location.

The role includes instruction on equipment use, clinical assessments, and data entry for monitoring respiratory devices. Travel to patient homes and on‑call duties may be required; driving and licensure are mandatory. Teammate benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• NBRC registration or eligibility.
• Current RCP license where required by state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; willing to drive personal vehicle.
• Hold licensure in good standing for all states of practice.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients/caregivers on proper use of respiratory equipment.
• Ensure patients can operate and maintain equipment.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, vital signs).
• Conduct routine patient follow‑up contacts.
• May perform on‑call duties as needed.
• Provide/operate respiratory care equipment (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Inspect equipment and maintain patient records and prescriptions.
• Enter data on monitoring websites for respiratory equipment.
• Consult with referring physician regarding treatment plans and home environment.
• Participate in ongoing education and competency programs.
• Assist with patient scheduling as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
