Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Champaign, IL to join a care-focused team. This on-site role features 8:30 AM–5:00 PM hours with 2–3 days on the road and a 30–45 minute travel radius.

You will manage oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation setups, educate patients, document care, and coordinate with physicians and case managers. The ideal candidate is a Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active IL license and CPR certification, comfortable with mobile tech and

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active IL RT license.
• Hold a current CPR Certification.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment and test function as needed.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry and spirometry.
