Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a part-time/PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in the Springfield, IL area. You will provide direct PTA services in patients’ homes, following physician orders and the established Plan of Care.

You must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program with a current state license, and be willing to travel up to 50% within the branch area. We offer competitive pay, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area.
Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance as per state laws.
Must be able and willing to travel 50%.

Responsibilities

Promotes Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement and policies to ensure quality of care.
Performs direct physical therapy services per plan of care and physician orders.
Follows Plan of Care supervised by Physical Therapist and reports changes promptly.
Instructs patients and families in home therapy programs and device use.
