Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Home Health in Spartanburg. This full-time role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a new pay-per-point compensation model that rewards higher effort and visits outside standard time.

The position supports patients in their homes under the supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA provides treatment, assists with care plan development, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team while maintaining licensure and documentation

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and unrestricted professional license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to a Physical Therapist Assistant entry level education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of the plan of care within goals defined by the physician, patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and attending physician to develop, integrate, and manage the patient care plan of care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of home care and competency in discipline for specific patient care skills, required for the provision of care.
• Meet agency productivity standards and utilize time and resources effectively.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately, at the point of care, according to industry standards.
• Assist the physical therapist in assessing the physical disability and level of function of patients.
• Maintain current license, certification, and clinical records to meet regulations.
• Participate in surveys and required reports.
• Report any alleged or suspected violations to supervisor until resolved.
• Be self-directed, prioritize, manage time, and meet outcomes by deadlines.
