Job summary

Harris Home Health, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatments and educate patients in their homes. You will follow an established plan of care under supervision and work to improve each patient’s well-being while supporting families and caregivers.

This role requires state licensure as a PT assistant, a valid driver's license, weekend availability, and CPR eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home health PT and work only per supervising PT's plan.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, and ADL.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and coordinates care with the health team.
• Instructs patient and family in therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
• Function in any home situation regardless of client demographics.
