Job summary

Peace and Harmony Homecare LLC seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support physical therapy services in home health settings. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA will implement treatment plans, guide patients through exercise programs, and assist with home exercise regimens to restore mobility and reduce pain.

Responsibilities include applying modalities, aiding gait training, and documenting patient progress.

Qualifications

• Graduated from PTA curriculum approved by CAPTE.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years experience as PTA, preferably in home health care.
• Criminal background check & and other state required checks for compliance.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist PT in implementing patient care plans and daily therapy assignments.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercise programs to improve strength and mobility.
• Assist in home exercise programs and apply modalities as prescribed.
• Support gait training and functional ambulation.
• Record patient responses and progress in charts and refer for reevaluation when needed.
• Coordinate patient load with PT and educate patient and family.
• Prepare equipment and maintain therapy area.
