Job summary

Mederi Caretenders Home Health in Florida is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our passionate team in Vero Beach. You will implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well-being under supervision of a PT.

Responsibilities include following state laws, guiding patients through exercises, coordinating with the healthcare team, and educating families on therapy within PTA scope.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise PT plan of care, performing only trained procedures.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and care team in therapy within PTA scope.
