Mederi Caretenders Home Health in Vero Beach, Florida is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a compassionate home health team. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education under the plan of care set by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and perform procedures as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and coordinate care with the health care team.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy areas within the PTA scope.
