Job summary

Trinity of El Paso Home Health & Hospice in El Paso, Texas is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team. The PTA will provide therapy services to patients in their homes under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate will have an associate PTA degree, Texas license, CPR, and a commitment to helping patients regain mobility. This role requires travel within the service area and strong documentation and communication skills to

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
Current Texas PTA license.
CPR certification.
Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients in their homes according to the care plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist in implementing therapeutic programs including exercises, functional training, gait training, balance work, and pain management.
Observe and report patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe techniques and exercises to continue therapy at home.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all care provided.
Follow the Physical Therapist’s plan of care while adhering to agency, state, and federal regulations.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Ensure a safe home environment for therapy activities.
Frequent travel between patient homes within a defined service area.
