Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school giving a course of not less than two years for Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Currently licensed in the State as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Prefer 1–2 years of health care experience.
• Leadership, time management and organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong confidentiality.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide client care services as planned and delegated by the physical therapist.
• Participate in preparation of clinical and progress notes; maintain accurate documentation.
• Educate the client and family about plans, goals and exercises.
• Instruct other health team personnel and family in relevant PT activities.
• Assist in discharge planning and completing discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with all care providers and report changes to the physician.
