VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for field-based home health in Gautier, MS. You will deliver direct physical therapy services under a licensed PT, following individualized plans to improve mobility and independence at the patient’s home.

You’ll monitor progress, document in the EMR, and collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure coordinated care, with flexibility for PRN scheduling and ongoing development opportunities.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).

Mansioni

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report patient progress and maintain EMR documentation.
• Communicate with PTs and care teams; participate in coordination and team meetings.
