Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Crystal River, FL to deliver one-on-one care in patients\' homes. You will work under a licensed PT to implement individualized plans, help patients regain mobility, and promote independence in the home setting.

This field-based role offers autonomy with support from an experienced PT team, plus ongoing training and strong benefits. If you are a PTA graduate with a current license, CPR, and a valid driver\'s license, apply

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
