Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for field-based care in Crystal River, FL. You will work one-on-one with patients in their homes, delivering personalized PTA services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

You’ll assess progress, tailor plans, and educate patients and caregivers while maintaining EMR documentation and collaborating with the care team. A PTA license, CPR, and a valid driver’s license are required, with home health experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or state-required certification.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Follow individualized plans of care to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Use modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
