Always Best Care Senior Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide individualized home health care to patients in their homes.

Deliver therapeutic interventions that improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence while educating families. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Home health experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments according to established plans of care.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Provide gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, and instruction in the safe use of assistive devices.
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and techniques that promote independence.
• Monitor patient progress, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
