Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services – Albuquerque, NM is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized treatments, help patients regain mobility, balance, and independence, and educate families in home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Home health experience preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments according to established plans of care.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Provide gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, and instruction in safe use of assistive devices.
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and independence techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, caregivers, and other team members to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
