Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Administer non-complex manual therapy, massage, traction, heat/cold, electrical modalities to patients.
• Document daily/weekly/monthly records and submit paperwork.
• Attend meetings and participate in department in-services.
• Notify supervisor of equipment issues or staffing changes.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments within competence.
• Promote compliance with third-party payors.
