Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home health services in Gainesville, FL. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver interventions in the patient’s home, following an approved plan of care.

Ideal candidates hold an active PTA license in the state, CAPTE-accredited program education, and a minimum of one year in home health environments; CPR certification is required to ensure readiness for patient care.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license for the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• At least 1 year PTA home health experience.
• CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision per approved care plan.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment.
• Document supervisory activities and patient progress.
• Coordinate care with PT, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Refer follow-up care in coordination with admitting agency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
