Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide PT services under supervision in home health settings in Georgia. You will perform interventions per the plan of care and document patient progress.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant, specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by CAPTE.
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTAs entering home health care to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient.
• Approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency if less than one year of experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services and interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed PT and per the plan of care.
• Observes, records and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and documents supervisory activities in medical records.
• Monitors and documents patient responses to PT interventions and participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Coordinates follow-up care with involved agencies and resources.
