Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for home health, full-time daytime schedule Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional on-call coverage. The role supports a diverse patient population across multiple teams in Central Florida and offers a competitive pay range.

Required are an Associate degree, PTA license, BLS, and in some cases Driver's License. Prior home health experience is preferred; mileage reimbursement and a sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Entry level competency of Physical therapy practice as defined by department policies.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains open communication with the case manager, primary therapist, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate interdisciplinary continuity of care and appropriate discharge planning.
• Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of patients.
• Participates in departmental meetings, education sessions, and performance improvement initiatives to maintain clinical competencies and adhere to professional and evidence-based practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monitors patient response to treatment and communicates with the Physical Therapist for necessary adjustments.
