Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a full-time Day shift. You will support patient care under supervision, assist with discharge planning, and collaborate with case managers and therapists in a home health setting.

Required: Associate degree, PTA license, BLS; 1+ home health experience preferred. Benefits include a sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and company-provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Entry level competency in physical therapy practice, theory and applications.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with the case manager, primary therapist, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate interdisciplinary continuity of care and appropriate discharge planning (concise).
• Maintain productivity standards and adjust work hours to meet patient needs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, education sessions, and performance improvement initiatives to maintain clinical competencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate with the Physical Therapist for necessary adjustments.
