Job summary

Idaho Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients in their homes. You will follow the plan of care, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients and families on therapeutic activities to improve well-being.

The role requires state licensure as a PTA, valid driver's license, and weekend availability; CPR certification is preferred. Join a team focused on compassionate care and coordinating with supervising PTs.

Qualifications

• Current license/registration to practice physical therapy as a PTA.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Weekend availability.
• CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to assist with mobility and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT, act within plan of care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Record patient progress and flag changes to supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
• Adapt care to diverse home environments and patient needs.
