Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for home health in College Station, Texas. You will deliver one-on-one, patient-centered care in patients' homes, working under a licensed PT to improve mobility and independence.

This field-based role emphasizes hands-on treatment, education, and coordinated care with the therapy team. Requirements include PTA program graduation, current PTA license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program and licensed/certified as required by state law.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 1+ year of PTA/home health experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Follow plans of care to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist with exercises, gait training, balance, and daily living activities.
• Support transfers, strengthening, and functional mobility.
• Use modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and assistive devices.
