Signature Healthcare at Home is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to cover Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Langley, Freeland, Clinton, Greenbank, Bayview) for home health services. Qualifications

• Graduated from a CAPTE-approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Passed national exam for PTAs and hold WA state license to practice.
• Maintain an active BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy per supervising PT and plan of care.
• Assist patient with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility tasks.
• Instruct patients in use of assistive devices and safety in home settings.
• Maintain clinical records and notes within required time frames.
• Coordinate travel and visits across Whidbey Island communities.

Signature Healthcare at Home is seeking to add a PTA for Whidbey Island! Now offering a $5000 sign-on bonus!This position would cover Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Langley, Freeland, Clinton, Greenbank, Bayview) for physical therapy home health services.This position has flexible scheduling with visits Monday through Friday day shift, with self-directed scheduling dependent on patient needs and territory. If you enjoy a high level of autonomy, travel and meeting patients where they are, apply today!Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides direct physical therapy according to the directions of the physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.Utilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.Observes and reports to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in patient’s condition.Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patient’s clinical record in prescribed time frames.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceHave graduated from a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by CAPTE and have passed a national examination for physical therapy assistants.Must be licensed and able to practice in Washington State.Must hold and maintain an active BLS CPR certification.The ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency related travel (e.g. patients, community partners, etc.) is an essential function of the job.
