Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for PRN days to support patients at home. You will assess, treat, and plan interventions to improve movement and function, with reexaminations every 30 days and discharge planning as needed.

Requirements include a state PT license, CAPTE-accredited program graduation, CPR certification, and at least 1 year in home health care or willingness to ramp under regional leaders. Competitive pay and benefits are provided as part of our flexible home-care team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited physical therapy education program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care; mentoring may be required for less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Perform reexaminations at least every 30 days; modify interventions as needed and conduct discharge planning.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
