Job summary

Arbor Therapy, a pediatric home health provider in Arizona, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join as a 1099 independent contractor in the Greater Phoenix and Tucson area. You will create your own schedule, select service areas, and build a caseload with clinical autonomy and support from a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include performing pediatric OT evaluations, delivering individualized services, and coaching families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Arizona OT license in good standing or eligibility to obtain licensure before providing services.
• Current CPR certification and Article 9 certification by the time services begin.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within service area.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric OT evaluations in home and community settings.
• Deliver individualized OT services per child’s plan of care.
• Set measurable goals and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living skills.
• Monitor progress and modify interventions as needed.
• Educate and coach families for carryover in daily routines.
• Coordinate with families, physicians, and other therapists.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and maintain credentials.

What You'll Do

• Complete pediatric occupational therapy evaluations in home and community settings
• Provide individualized occupational therapy services based on each child's plan of care
• Develop measurable goals and evidence-based treatment plans
• Address areas such as:
  • Fine motor and visual-motor development
  • Sensory processing and integration
  • Self-care and activities of daily living
  • Self-regulation
  • Feeding skills
  • Functional participation and independence
• Monitor client progress and modify interventions as clinically appropriate
• Educate and coach parents and caregivers to support carryover within daily routines
• Coordinate care with families, physicians, and other therapy professionals as appropriate
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Maintain all professional credentials and contractor requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain licensure before providing services
• Current Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one
• Current CPR certification
• Current Article 9 certification by the time services begin
• Current professional liability insurance
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
• Ability and willingness to travel within the contractor's selected Greater Phoenix service area
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional clinical judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Home health or community-based therapy experience
• Experience with or a strong interest in:
  • Early intervention
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Sensory integration
  • Feeding therapy
  • Neurodiversity-affirming care
  • AAC and interdisciplinary communication supports
• Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish

Work Environment

Services are provided in clients' homes and other approved community settings throughout the contractor's selected service area. The role may involve standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and assisting children with a variety of developmental, physical, sensory, and behavioral needs.
