Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver home health services across Houston-area locations. The OTA will implement therapy plans, assist patients with ADLs, and work under an OT supervisor to enhance mobility and independence in the home setting.

The role requires an OTA license, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of one year of clinical experience, with home health or geriatric rehab preferred. Strong communication and independence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active, unencumbered OTA license in the applicable state.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of clinical OTA experience; home health or geriatric rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatments, activities, and self-care retraining as delegated by the supervising OT.
• Guide patients in upper extremity function, fine motor skills, dressing, grooming, and home management.
• Assist with ADLs and IADLs to promote independence and performance.
• Support use of adaptive equipment and DME as prescribed by the OT.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR system.
• Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with home health clinicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Reinforce education for patients and caregivers on OT interventions and home exercises.
