Job summary

Angels of Mercy Homecare - Marion, part of LHC Group, seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess and treat patients in home health, coordinating with the care team and contributing to CMS documentation as needed.

Active OT license in the state, CPR certification, and reliable transportation are required. This role offers hourly pay with a range based on experience, and relocation assistance of $10,000 for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the health care team
• Evaluates the patient's functional status, status of all body systems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs. Consults with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care
• Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests
