Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services to patients in home care, aiding recovery and functional improvement under the supervision of an OT. You will implement the plan of care, document patient responses, and support families and care teams in delivering evidence-based treatment.

This role requires an OTA license in the relevant state, a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or can be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in home care under the supervision of an OT.
• Follow the plan of care and deliver evidence-based treatments within legal scope.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to supervising clinician.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in therapy techniques and home programs.
• Maintain a professional, respectful approach to patients of diverse backgrounds.
