The role requires a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, Florida state licensure, and current knowledge of rehabilitation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from ACOTE/AOTA accredited program.
• National Board Certification.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in Florida.
• Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and rehab programs.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients with different personalities.
• Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
• Ability to assess patient conditions and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and psychological assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Assess home and work environments and propose adjustments.
• Advise on adaptive equipment to aid daily activities.
• Develop rehabilitation programs to regain skills.
• Prepare clients for a return to work.
• Educate caregivers on patient care.
• Evaluate results and adjust therapy as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
• Evaluate patient conditions including basic mental health.
