Job summary

Family First Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Florida. You will assess patients recovering from injuries and disabilities, develop treatment plans, and help them regain independence for work and daily activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OT and state licensure, with ongoing knowledge of current practices. You will support patients and families, educate caregivers, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE/AOTA-accredited program.
• NBCOT certification.
• Compliant with state regulatory requirements.
• Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients with different personalities.
• Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
• Ability to assess patient conditions and work with treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and psychological assessments and follow a treatment plan.
• Assess home and work environments and determine necessary adjustments.
• Advise on adaptive equipment to help daily activities.
• Develop rehabilitation programs to regain lost skills.
• Prepare clients for a return to work.
• Educate caregivers and family on patient care.
• Evaluate progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of treatment practices and progress in the field.
• Comply with certification requirements.
• Evaluate patient condition including physical and basic mental health.
