Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• 2–3 years of doctor office administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals timely and courteous.
• Enter authorizations and schedules in system.
• Obtain re-authorizations for additional homecare services.
• Follow-up on requests from the PCP for services.
• Contact and receive authorizations from insurance companies.
• Contact clinicians to schedule services.
• Request home health orders from PCPs, hospitals, and specialists.
• Review charts for procedural accuracy and efficiency.
• Receive and forward faxes to correct departments.
• Confirm patients' PCPs.
• Assist patients with questions or concerns.
• Develop good working relationships with PCP staff and insurance companies.
• Availability to work on call on weekends.

As a key member of our intake team, you will be responsible for processing new referrals, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring timely and efficient coordination of home healthcare services. Responsibilities:

• Process new referrals in a timely and courteous fashion

• Enter Authorizations and Schedules in System

• Obtain Re-authorizations for Additional Homecare Services

• Follow-up on Requests From the PCP for Services

• Contact and Receive Authorizations from Insurance Company

• Contact Clinicians (PT's, OT's, ST's) to Schedule Services

• Request Home Health Orders From PCP's, Hospitals, and Specialist

• Review Charts for Procedural Accuracy and Efficiency

• Receive and Forward Faxes to Correct Departments

• Confirm Patient's PCP's

• Assist Patients with Any Questions, Comments, or Concerns

• Develop Good Working Relationships with PCP Staff and Insurance Companies

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Outstanding Customer Service Skills

• Doctor Office Administrative Experience (Minimum 2-3 years)
